To retain warmth, they typically have less mesh on the inner canopy (or closable mesh panels). They are ideal for winter camping, high‑altitude mountaineering, and harsh environments.

3-Season Tents (like our Mongar™ BASE series) prioritize lightweight design and breathability. They use lighter materials and have ample mesh for airflow, making them perfect for spring, summer, and fall backpacking and camping.

How to choose: If you mainly hike in mild seasons, a 3‑season tent is your best bet. If you plan to venture into winter or alpine terrain with unpredictable weather, a reliable 4‑season tent is essential for safety and performance.

Tenacious Tape GORE‑TEX Fabric Patches – specifically for repairing GORE‑TEX jackets, pants, and waders.

Tenacious Tape Silnylon Repair Tape – designed for silicone‑treated nylon tents, tarps, and stuff sacks.

Tenacious Tape Repair Tape – works on nylon, vinyl, and most technical fabrics (available in strips or rolls).

How do I apply Tenacious Tape correctly?

It's simple – just follow these steps:

Clean the damaged area with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt and oils, ensuring strong adhesion.

Trim any loose threads.

Apply the patch over the tear, smoothing out all bubbles and ensuring the edges lie flat.

Wait – the adhesive reaches maximum strength after 24 hours.

Pro tip: Round the corners of the patch with scissors to reduce the chance of peeling from edge snags.
